Alcohol & Drug Addiction Treatment Support Groups for Teens

Drug Addiction Treatment Support Groups for Teens

Helping Teens Build a Strong Foundation for Recovery

Recovery is not something teens should face alone. At The Crossroads Program, our alcohol support groups for teens and drug rehab support groups for teens provide the encouragement, accountability, and peer connection needed to support long term sobriety.

Since 1982, Crossroads has helped teens, young adults, and families throughout Missouri overcome substance use disorders through evidence-based treatment, peer support, family involvement, and ongoing recovery services. Our support groups are a vital part of both treatment and aftercare, helping young people build healthy relationships and recovery skills that last beyond formal treatment.

What Is an Alcohol Support Group for Teens?

An alcohol support group for teens gives young people a safe place to connect with peers who understand the challenges of recovery. Through encouragement, shared experiences, and ongoing support, teens can build the skills needed to maintain sobriety and move forward with confidence.

At Crossroads, support groups help teens:

  • Build healthy coping skills
  • Stay accountable in recovery
  • Form sober friendships
  • Practice recovery tools
  • Gain confidence in social situations

For many teens, support groups replace feelings of isolation with connection, encouragement, and hope.

How a Drug Rehab Support Group for Teens Helps Recovery

Treatment does not end when a counseling session is over. Recovery requires ongoing support and positive influences. Our drug rehab support groups for teens help participants apply the skills they learn in treatment to real-life situations.

Group members discuss common challenges such as:

  • Peer pressure
  • Stress and anxiety
  • School and academic responsibilities
  • Family relationships
  • Relapse prevention
  • Building healthy routines

12-Step Support Groups for Teens in Missouri

The Crossroads Program offers specialized 12-step support groups designed specifically for teens and young adults. These groups provide age-appropriate guidance while introducing participants to the principles of personal responsibility, honesty, accountability, and service.

Through regular meetings, participants build strong support networks and develop skills that help them maintain sobriety long after treatment has ended.

Our 12-step groups help young people:

  • Stay engaged in recovery
  • Build positive peer relationships
  • Strengthen decision-making skills
  • Develop healthy habits
  • Create a sense of belonging

Peer Support Groups for Teens at Crossroads

Peer support is one of the most powerful tools in recovery. Young people often respond best when they are surrounded by others who understand what they are experiencing.

Our peer support groups create opportunities for participants to:

  • Share experiences openly
  • Support one another’s recovery goals
  • Develop communication skills
  • Build self-confidence
  • Create healthy friendships

Newer members benefit from the encouragement of peers who have been in recovery longer, while experienced members strengthen their own recovery by helping others succeed.

Sober Social Activities That Reinforce Recovery

Recovery is about more than staying sober. It is also about building healthy relationships, gaining confidence, and enjoying life without drugs or alcohol. That’s why Crossroads offers supervised support groups and sober social activities for teens and young adults.

Participants have opportunities to connect with peers, practice recovery skills, and build lasting friendships in a safe and supportive environment.
